ABOUT ROB
Fluent in many styles, with over 20 years of experience, Rob teaches a wide variety of students of all ages and skill levels including those with special needs. From early childhood music, site reading, improv, arranging, a library of material, and unique lesson plans for each student, Rob will teach you and make sure you’re having fun in the process.
Rob teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, beginner banjo, finger picking, classical, and slide technique. He has hosted recitals, seminars, master classes and currently directs one of the adult performance programs at School of Rock, Fairfield.
Rob Maresca is a musical force in southern Connecticut. A versatile performer, teacher, and recording artist hailing from the flourishing musical community of Black Rock in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University and an instructor for over 20 years, Rob teaches all guitar styles including rock, funk, reggae, rhythm & blues, fingerpicking, & slide guitar. He is proficient on bass, ukulele, mandolin, and banjo.
As well as Rob’s love for rockin’ out locally in original and cover bands, his affinity with finger picking is a highlight of his playing.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins and Jorma Kaukonen, Rob is carnival ride of a picker with a wide variety of solo arrangements from Beatles to Billy Joel and jazz to blues. Check out Rob’s YouTube channel to hear his soulful renditions.
A musical director and arranger, Rob hosts multiple tribute acts to sold out venues with the community’s top talent. Performing the iconic music that molded his sound such as:

For as long as Rob's been performing and educating, he has been listening and learning with an open mind. Whether its been writing with a band shedding tunes or showing students the true amazement of the guitar, Rob's love for music and skill on the instrument is both encompassing and encouraging and above all entertaining.
It's no surprise that Rob's second love is comic books, as he truly knows how to create an exciting story on any guitar he picks up. Its easy to say his chops are heroic and is earning his right to be a hero of the guitar.
